About Morris Adato

Morris Adato is a New York writer whose storytelling bridges worlds: the jazz clubs and crowded tenements of mid-century Manhattan, the front lines of American technological innovation, and the quiet human dramas that unfold in between. His writing is rooted in lived experience — sixty years in the consumer electronics industry, a childhood immersed in music, and a lifelong fascination with the people who make things happen.

His fiction collection, Transients & Other Stories and The Bebop Bugler, showcases his range — from a jazz murder mystery to a wartime drama to the intimate story of an immigrant family. His memoir, Chord Progression, captures the warmth and texture of old New York, a world of close-knit neighborhoods that shaped who he became. And Witness to Innovation draws on his decades as a manufacturer's representative, entrepreneur, and marketing consultant to tell the story of how consumer technology transformed American life.
